Experience the music of 24 Years

24 Years: A Fusion of Time and Talent

In the landscape of modern music, 24 Years emerges as a tale of serendipity and shared passion, conceived in 2015 through the collaboration of guitarist Jeff Ott and drummer Justin Watkins. This partnership was sparked by a simple yet ambitious desire: to breathe life into compositions Jeff had nurtured for over two decades. The project, initially envisioned as a limited recording venture, blossomed into a full-fledged band when Justin's drumming prowess provided the perfect complement to Jeff's guitar riffs. This marked the inception of 24 Years, a name that eloquently mirrors the age gap between its founding members.

Origins of a Unique Ensemble

With the debut of their album Leading to Now in 2021, the duo realized the need for a bassist to enrich their sound, leading to the enlistment of Zach Wurst, a familiar face in Justin's creative circle since 2004. Together, they have crafted a sound that melds their distinct musical backgrounds into a cohesive blend of metal, characterized by its rich diversity and depth.

Jeff Ott - The Visionary Guitarist

Hailing from Corona, California, Jeff Ott carries the legacy of rock guitar legends of the 1970s into the present. A descendant of G&L Musical Instruments' co-founder George Fullerton, Jeff's relocation to Arkansas in 1999 marked a new chapter in his musical journey. Beyond his role as the driving force behind 24 Years, he dedicates his time to nurturing the next generation of guitarists, embodying both a mentor and an innovator.

Justin Watkins - The Rhythmic Powerhouse

Justin Watkins' journey from Alma, Arkansas, to the heart of 24 Years, is fueled by a passion for the dynamic and intricate landscapes of progressive and nu metal. Recognized for his exceptional leadership and musicianship with prestigious awards in 2005, Justin's drumming is not merely a foundation but a force that propels the band's music forward.

Zach Wurst - The Bass Virtuoso

Zach Wurst adds the indispensable low-end growl that completes the band's sound. Inspired by a vast spectrum of rock genres and carrying forward the legacy of his father, a renowned bassist in the Arkansas River Valley, Zach's journey with the bass guitar began in 2004. His commitment to the music scene extends beyond performing, as he has supported it behind the scenes as a dedicated roadie.
